HP R.O.C. Designation Correction. This patch corrects the references made to Taiwan by removing the R.O.C. designation. After product release, it was learned that Microsoft referenced Taiwan as the "Republic of China". The governments there objected to this reference, and this patch removes such a reference from the software. However, if the Recovery CD is used to restore the system to factory defaults, the references will return and this patch will need to be rerun.
